Week 9: Running Back Round Up

1419674Every week, I examine the most turbulent backfields to determine whether a backup is due for a bigger role and how any possible changes will affect Fantasy relevant stars. Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill should have a big day.

With the exception of a blowout in Week 7 – against the Colts whose defense plays lights out at home – Giovani Bernard has more than returned on his mid-late second round ADP. Currently ranked among the top ten fantasy RBs, the Bengals’ second season star is averaging a whopping twenty touches per game. His 5-foot-9 and 208 pound frame, however, is beginning to give in to that massive workload. After playing through shoulder and rib injuries, the UNC product is now fighting a hip pointer. This latest ailment is expected to keep Bernard sidelined for Cincy’s match-up against the Jaguars. As a result, rookie Jeremy Hill should receive the lion’s share of rushing attempts…
