Week 17: Eating Crow and Told Ya So
After every week, I rehash how my picks performed. Some for the better and inevitably, some for the worse. There’s nothing wrong with a little accountability. Closing out the regular season on a high note sure does feel good!

Despite passing for only 114 yards, Newton assembled an impressive fantasy day. His two TDs and 51 rushing yards were good enough to earn him QB1 numbers and place him among the week’s top ten prospects at the position. Since Week 14 this Panthers squad has really come on, winning out the regular season and clinching the NFC South. Newton’s leadership skills and physical resilience have helped to elevate his team to another level. This Sunday they’ll host the Ryan Lindley led Cardinals whose defense let fellow mobile QB Colin Kaepernick rush for 63 yards in Week 17. After a four game winning streak, anything is possible for the Cardiac Cats. They’re the favorite in Week 18 and Newton is an intriguing fantasy option in the first week of the postseason.
