Minding the Mustache

1414522What do Chicago, Denver, Kansas City, Dallas, and Buffalo all have in common? At one point or another, their football teams have all been led by the aptly-whiskered Kyle Orton. After getting the start over Buffalo’s E.J. Manuel in Week 5, the journeyman has thrown for nearly 900 yards and five touchdowns. In his last three games he has outproduced perennial studs like Matt Ryan, Matt Stafford, and Ben Roethlisberger. Averaging twenty fantasy points a game, the Bills starting quarterback is among the top fourteen prospects at the position.

Despite putting up consistently good stats, Orton remains available in over 80 percent of MFL leagues. In fact, both Ryan Fitzpatrick and Geno Smith are more owned than the newly shorn Orton. I understand owners’ skepticism, but the dude is getting it done.
