Introducing Fantasy Football’s Newest Rookie!

For most fantasy diehards the best thing about summer is knowing that football season is right around the corner. Similarly, the worst thing about summer is knowing that football season is still months away. While most of you have kept yourselves occupied by tracking MJD’s foot injury, tweeting about the ESPYs, and staring slack-jawed at Aaron Hernandez’s fall from grace, I went and had a baby. Yup, you read that right, The Fantasy Football girl is now a Mom. Or, as I like to say, a MILF in the making.

So with that being said, I’d like to introduce PAXTON! On June 27th – just three days after the Blackhawks ensured Lord Stanley’s Cup would be returning to Chicago – my number one draft pick entered the world and promptly stole my heart. While he’s a rookie right now, I have no doubt that with the help of the fantasy community and under the expert tutelage of his mommy he’ll become a trophy hoisting champ in no time.

In the meantime, I’ve obviously taken some time off to get to know the NFL’s future hall of fame punter. Not to fret, however… I’ll be back dishing out oodles of fantasy goodness full time after Labor Day (no pun intended).

In addition, the X’s and Y’s Podcast will return on a weekly basis beginning Wednesday, August 14th. I plan to call into the show each week, but during the preseason my esteemed co-host, John Evans, has agreed to pick up the slack and address all of your drafting needs. The wonderfully accomplished and fantastically glib Leo Paciga will be joining him as a temporary guest co-host. We also have three top-notch guests already booked, so set your calendars for 8/14 and get ready to dominate your fantasy league this season.

Until then, I’ll be checking in on Twitter, posting updates on my Facebook page, and even creating a few boards on Pinterest. Make sure to check back here on the blog regularly, as I upload new content and announce some exciting (non-baby related) ventures currently in development.

Enjoy your summer. Start researching now. And, as always, WIN BIG!
